This property is in downtown Vineyard Haven. The Barn is located on the property of the Captain John A. Swain House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and as part of the William Street Historic District.
The barn has a second floor sleeping loft with king bed, built in closets, bureau and desk area. First floor open living, dining & kitchen area. First floor bathroom with walk in shower. The efficiency kitchen has a two burner cooktop, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, and large capacity convection toaster oven. There is a back deck with chairs for two+, and Adirondack chairs in the back garden .
A car is not necessary as necessities can all be reached by foot. There is parking for one car in the driveway. A bike rental is just off Main street. The bus line VTA covers the island and is very affordable. You can purchase passes just off Main street or pay on the bus.
